The video for “Living Gud, Eating Gud” was inspired by all the traveling that Cakes has done recently and moving out of his mother’s house.  It was also fueled by the negative comments Cakes has gotten in the past, and this song is a direct response to people who spew hate and throw shade his way.
The video features cameos from Cakes’ friends, including Olga Bell from the Dirty Projectors, as well as DJ Jubilee and rapper Shamon Cassette, both from Brooklyn.  They are shown in the video rapping Cakes’ lyrics, signifying how Cakes’ ideas and mentality can be shared and personified by anyone, regardless of whomever you are.
