Billboard Magazine premieres an East meets West club banger entitled “Bow Down” that brought together Asian all-stars PKCZ®, CRAZYBOY from EXILE TRIBE and Yultron with rap legend Snoop Dogg. With in-demand directors of 88 Rising at the helm, the international collaboration centers around the Doggfather embracing Eastern culture and showcasing some impressive and hilarious martial arts.
Verbal of PKCZ® explains, “Growing up in Tokyo, Snoop was an artist that transcended beyond music. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the evolution of his “brand” has strongly influenced me as an artist throughout the years. Having Snoop on our first international release is absolutely our (childhood) dream come true!”
“Bow Down” is a celebration that blends multiple cultures and music genres. With its phenomenal list of hip-hop and EDM artists involved, each a respected legend of his own, “Bow Down” is an honorable nod to each trailblazer as they unite musically.
Verbal continues, “PKCZ® is a creative think-tank, bringing together all our resources and experiences with music, fashion, live production etc as we come from different walks of life. Bow Down celebrates our synergy as a crew that elevates one another.”
Throwing down the first verse, CRAZYBOY (also known as Elly) is a member of the hugely popular Japanese J-pop collective J Soul Brothers III who have sold more than 10 million records and over 7 million singles in Japan. Their commercial and critical success earned them various prestigious accolades including Best Music Video at the 2016 Japan Gold Disc Awards and back to back Best 5 Albums Awards for the past 2 years.
Rounding out the second verse is Verbal of PKCZ®. PKCZ® is a hip-hop supergroup comprised of Exile Tribe members Makidai and DJ Daruma along with rapper Verbal, who is a former member of the Teriyaki Boyz along with BAPE clothing founder Nigo. As one of Tokyo’s most influential fashion icons, Verbal frequently teams up with Pharrell, Kanye and A$AP Rocky.
Production was a collaborative effort between PKCZ® and Yultron, who is a renown LA based hip-hop EDM producer. Yultron is also part of a group called The Binches along with Ookay, Kayzo and Dotcom. The Binches will be headliners at this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival, one of the largest EDM festivals in the world.
“Bow Down” songwriters include Snoop Dogg, Crazyboy, PKCZ®, and Far East Movement. The song is available worldwide via Trap City Records, a joint music label created in collaboration between Trap City, Spinnin Records and Far East Movement.
