ABOUT DIGGY SIMMONS
Throughout the creation of his long-awaited 2018 second full-length album, rapper, singer, actor, designer, model, and humanitarian Diggy Simmons not only grew as an artist, but also as a man. In fact, the multitalented 23-year-old star confidently actualized his vision like never before in terms of style, sound, and spirit. “This whole period is all about growth, transitioning, and getting out of my own way in order to be my best self,” he affirms. “I started giving the right things attention. Self-love was a major concept for me. In order to share this message, I’m telling my personal experiences over musically rich production. It’s the sound I’ve been working towards for my whole career.”

A six-year whirlwind set the stage for this chapter. 2012’s Unexpected Arrival ignited his rapid rise on the heels of the smash single “Do It Like You” [feat. Jeremih]. XXL notably included him in its prestigious “Freshman Class” among inductees Kendrick Lamar, YG, and Meek Mill. Throughout the next four years, rigorous touring would be highlighted by a White House performance for the 2015 Easter Egg Roll at the request of President Barack Obama and the First Family. He even managed to collaborate with everyone from Bruno Mars and Pharrell to Lupe Fiasco, Yo Gotti, and Ty Dolla $ign.

Simultaneously, he emerged as an undeniable force on screen. He joined the cast of Freeform’s highest-rated series Grown-ish in 2017 in addition to starring in BET’s The Start Up as well as HGTV/DIY Rev Run’s Renovation, Rev Run’s Sunday Suppers on the Cooking Channel, and Rev Run’s Around the World Adventures on Travel Channel. Cementing his status as a style icon, Dolce & Gabbana invited him to walk in two fashion shows as ForbesTeen VogueWWD, and more featured him.
