KIMBERLY: THE PEOPLE I USED TO KNOW is available today at all music retailers and streaming services. She has also introduced her newest video for “Fuck Your Man.” Watch the video here.
KIMBERLY: THE PEOPLE I USED TO KNOW is highlighted by a trio of hit singles including “Birthday,” “Either Way (Feat. Chris Brown),” and “Make This Song Cry,” the latter of which debuted at the week’s #1 Most Added at Urban AC radio outlets nationwide upon its release this fall. The album also debuted atop the iTunes R&B Chart at #1 and #5 overall.
- Michelle’s fourth studio album, KIMBERLY: THE PEOPLE I USED TO KNOW follows 2016’s MORE ISSUES THAN VOGUE, which made a stunning #1 arrival on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums – the songstress’ third consecutive time debuting atop the chart. The album also entered the overall Billboard 200 at #2. MORE ISSUES THAN VOGUE arrived hot on the heels 2014’s, ANYONE WANNA BUY A HEART?, that year’s top selling R&B release and highest charting debut from a female R&B artist. What’s more, the album was named to both Billboard’s “10 Best R&B Albums of 2014” and Rolling Stone’s “20 Best R&B Albums of 2014.” “An excellent album,” declared Complex, adding, “It cannot be denied any longer: K. Michelle leaps and bounds ahead of many of her peers.”
- Michelle has earned recognition as “Best New Artist” at the 2013 Soul Train Awards along with “Outstanding New Artist” at the 2014 NAACP Image Awards. The award winning artist remains busy with her boutique restaurant/lounge, Puff & Petals, and her partnership with Jack Daniel’s in which she became the first African-American ambassador for the brand while introducing Southern Peach Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails.
