SHEILA E. PERFORMS “COME TOGETHER” WITH JON BATISTE & STAY HUMAN
Yesterday, the “Queen of Percussion”, funk and soul legend Sheila E. joined forces with multi-instrumentalist and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert music director, Jon Batiste, and his band Stay Human to perform an unforgettable rendition of the classic track “Come Together” by The Beatles. This hi-energy captive performance by the three enamored The Late Show’s audience and had them singing along throughout the whole performance.

About Jon Batiste
Jon Batiste is a globally celebrated musician, educator and humanitarian from Kenner, LA who has created a signature sound that is true to his roots. Jon is currently the musical director and bandleader (Stay Human) for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In addition to performing internationally with his band, Jon has collaborated with acclaimed musicians across various genres, including Stevie Wonder, Prince and Lenny Kravitz, among others. In 2012, Batiste was appointed the Artistic Director at Large of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, educating people about the museum and assisting with programming. Named one of “Forbes’” “30 Under 30,” Batiste is also a Movado Future Legend Award recipient and is one of the youngest Steinway Performing Artists of all time.
